Greetings

 Hello Friends,

Welcome to Francis Wyman Elementary School.  I am so excited to work with your child!  My name is Karen Hoyt.  I have been working with children for nearly 40 years and for more than 16 years, I worked in a kindergarten role at Pine Glen. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to help your children grow as English language learners! I grew up in Burlington and consider myself blessed to be educating students in this community that I call home.  My husband, Dean and I have 3 adult children who all attended Burlington schools! 

I love to learn, read, bake and be with my family. I really love chocolate and visiting with friends. In recent years I have enjoyed travels with my husband. Recent years we have gone to Italy, England, Ireland, Alaska and Austria. Locally, I love Acadia National Park in Maine.

Mr. Hoyt and I were able to see a glacier while in Alaska during a summer trip  a couple of years ago.
